MarkZ: I think the absolute worst will be a dollar. Realistically I expect it to be around $4 to $6…and the dong I still think in the low $2 range. But no one will know for sure until we are at the banks.
Comment: Mark, everyone is concerned about going to the best banking facility that has the best rates.
MarkZ: I am still being told the rates should be the same no matter what banking facility you go to…so they have standardized the rates on purpose to avoid this. I believe this to be accurate and true. If you are worried about this – do not rush to be the first person to exchange.

If Sudani does not release the new exchange rate, especially before the e*******s, he might as well kiss the prime minister position goodbye. Because not only will the citizens not vote for him, but Trump will not allow him to be prime minister. Trump will put sanctions back on Iraq, destroy the whole monetary reform. 12-2c IMO is the key that opens the door for the new exchange rate. Then what it does, it looks at the laws that are being passed with it…There are many laws…
I’ve always said the moment you see the HCL, nanoseconds later you’re going to see the [new exchange rate] because that’s the only reason why you saw the HCL. The exchange rate calculated it. But we need the law…The Iraqi dinar is they Lynch pin, everyone is waiting for it.

First of all, this subsection has nothing to do with the exchange rate. Secondly, they aren’t likely to pass this any time soon considering the proximity of the upcoming e******n. They haven’t even selected a consulting agency to put a fine point on the amount of reimbursement per barrel of oil. $16 per barrel is the current payment.

JeffRemember the ’25 budget is fully amended ready for approval. They don’t have anything left to tell you about it. IMO they’ll most likely give us very short notice…In relation to the rate change, could be the day of or…one to three days out….It’s going to be very short announcement lead time from the physical timing of the rate change.

Nader From The Mid EastI think the rate will be between $2.87 and $3.22. Me personally I’ll take it at $2.00. I don’t care…I would like $.76 in the beginning and then after a couple weeks we’ll go to $2 or $2.50 or $3 but at least they test the economy with it. Because if you throw it at $3.00 and then the economy crashes right away it doesn’t have any value after 4 or 4 days.
