…another source that I have that is talking more about very early next week. Now he’s coming from a different place. He’s coming from a different point of view…so we’re very close…I told between Thursday…and the weekend, was a window that appeared to be good for us to get notified and get started. And I think the latest thing I got…was telling us to keep an eye on Monday the eighth or Tuesday…could be…Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday… Tuesday… we just have to keep an eye on this and just see when it does manifest for us.

The budget tables will expose the new exchange rate and that is what everything IMO is waiting for because everything that needs it is inside of that budget…I believe the COM (Council of Ministers) and Alaq are done with the new exchange rate. I believe it is poised and ready to come out. Even parliament is saying they will not cause any delays. That says a lot to me. That says we are very close because they’ve always been the problem.

There is no longer a disconnect with the global financial system whereby there will be reliable transactions in line with international standards…That taking place now, is sounding very good! Lets see if it translates into a real effective exchange rate for the Iraqi dinar! This is the first time I have heard those words from Al-Sudani. He has stated in the recent past the dinar is stronger than the dollar. Let’s see if he is not wrong in that thinking!
I think [the Iraqi dinar] is going to be a strong currency in comparison even to its neighbors because of the value of the country. We know about the natural resources…ASYCUDA system…electronic payments. It’s really important to understand that.
